First, thanks for the tint help. I'll be getting it done. They don't even have to remove my Hello Kitty decal.

My next request is a taller order. What would it take to enlist some MAZOCian goodness to install exhaust? Should I do HFCs at the same time I do the cbe? Also, when I say "I", I really mean one of you way more qualified peoples.

Oh, all I have are vice grips and a Swiss Army knife. That, and assorted bug nets.

If you have access to a lift, it would be worth it to do it all at once. If not, a good set of jack stands, and an overnight spraying of WD-40 should help get the demon bolts loose enough.

But I would say do it all at once and be done with it rather than doing one then a week later the other...

m4a1mustang 11-19-2013 07:48 AM

Personally I would just do the catback. HFC is not really worth the trouble, especially here in NOVA (you can fail a visual inspection with HFC).

Oh, Dee, any chance you are interested in a set of AP2 V1 wheels with winter tires (Pirelli Sottozero Serie II) with only one season on them? Turn your S2K into a snow machine!

eastwest2300 11-19-2013 08:01 AM

Steve in all honesty man, i couldnt afford it right now, especially with the holidays coming up, 2 road trips to michigan and a trip to Florida in the next 2 months, yeah its soo not in the budget.

m4a1mustang 11-19-2013 08:05 AM

Two road trips to Michigan within the next two months? Sounds like you could use... snow tires!

dmhenderson 11-19-2013 08:29 AM

So I ran over a deer carcass after a SUV liquified it in front of me. I thought it was funny at first but the smell of frying deer giblets on my exhaust manifold (even after getting underneath it with a jack and a hose/spray nozzle) - not so much. Took it back to Hill's and it turns out I'm missing my undershroud and a bunch of pins/clips and a heat shield is bent. No damage to the vitals thankfully.

Going to let insurance handle it but I've already got my eye on that nismo Zspeed undershroud.

Steve offers very economical snow tire transactions. A few minutes behind the starbucks and you're all set.

He will even install them while you watch stand lookout

m4a1mustang 11-19-2013 09:06 AM

Anyways, Dee. I'm flexible. I just want these out of the house at this point so if you are interested and want to work a deal just let me know, we can talk!

I put my winter wheels and tires on. Michelin Alpin PA4 (245/45/18 square) on Ron's old base wheels:

So far so good. Looking forward to testing them in some snow.

eastwest2300 11-24-2013 05:47 PM

dude, you're nutts wanting to drive your Z in the snow...

m4a1mustang 11-24-2013 05:55 PM

It shouldn't be a big deal at all. The 5.0 was fine and the S2000 was as well. The Z falls somewhere in between.

The most important thing is cold, dry weather performance... That's 95% of our winter driving.

eastwest2300 11-24-2013 06:59 PM

You have luxury of being able to buy tires for every day of the week where as I must improvise.. hahaha...so I'll just have to slowwww down.

Tires are cheaper than repairs and medical bills.

eastwest2300 11-24-2013 08:54 PM

What ever happened to Ron? It's like he completely disappeared. I feel like I remember him saying he was getting new wheels but not sure if I ever saw them.

m4a1mustang 11-25-2013 08:01 AM

Well... things didn't exactly go the way I planned them when I stole bought his wheels.

They look similar to the g35 wheels if I'm remembering correctly now. Good looking wheels. He did this back at the end of summer when I was leaving for vacation and what not. I also haven't been to a meet in a while, been a busy year overall.

eastwest2300 11-25-2013 01:51 PM

The Maryland meets are ummmmmm..... slow, I'd call a few people before you make the drive.

b1adesofcha0s 11-25-2013 05:04 PM

I know I haven't been to a Columbia meet in a while. I've been busy with other stuff.

eastwest2300 11-25-2013 06:50 PM

thats why the columbia meets have been slow, especially with the holidays, and football going on.
