stricer555 07-09-2011 05:41 AM

Wow just saw this thread. You all wouldn't mind a 300zx driver at this would ya? I don't know what to bring though, might just pick something up along the way.

You're welcome to join us! Bring whatever you want to pick up. Its five bucks to get into the park (in case you were not aware).

ZCarMan 07-09-2011 05:54 AM

Hey everybody, since the park is open at 6am (mostly for the fisherman), there is always a chance that the spot I picked will be taken. In any event, just look for my black Z and the black Frontier as you drive down towards the parking area located after you pass the white mansion on the left. I'm going to be there around 10AM to snag the best possible grill location. As I have mentioned before there is little to no shade in this area. I have two 9x9 awnings but I guarantee you that won't do much, so bring a hat and some sunscreen so you don't get scorched. See you guys there!

Thanks Jon, see you there!

Also, I think 3-4 2 Liter bottles of soda should be enough for everyone since there will be water too. I'll probably get Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sprite, and Orange Soda. If you have any other preferences let me know within an hour so I can go get them. I guess I will also get plastic cups while I'm there.

I talked to Ron (Masa) who said he should be able to make it to the BBQ

b1adesofcha0s 07-09-2011 08:10 AM

I don't see paper plates anywhere on the list so I will just grab some while I'm still at Walmart.

b1adesofcha0s 07-09-2011 08:37 AM

Jon if you didn't bring ice with you, let us know so that someone else van grab It. We may also need plastic spoons, which I firgot when I was at Walmart :p

m4a1mustang 07-09-2011 08:37 AM

Ah yes, paper plates! Grab some plastic utensils while you're at it!!!

m4a1mustang 07-09-2011 08:44 AM

I had a lot of fun with everybody!!! That was a really great time. Sandy Point was nice, the view was spectacular. It was great to meet some new folks as well as see the rest of the gang as usual :D

I gave people crabs and taught them how to handle them. :stirthepot:

We had our run-in with the DNR cops  "This parking lot isn't for car shows" hahaha

m4a1mustang 07-09-2011 05:04 PM

Thanks for the crabs, Al. I owe you!

weezal657 07-09-2011 05:09 PM

I had crabs once, was kinda a pain, then I turned around and gave my wife some crabs and she wasn't a fan either....

b1adesofcha0s 07-09-2011 05:29 PM

Today was fun, especially the crab handling lessons from Al :icon17:

b1adesofcha0s 07-09-2011 05:37 PM

Now all we need is pics, I know you have them! Especially you Kirk with that gigantic lens on your cameras.

Roadster4Us 07-09-2011 05:49 PM

Was definitely a great time. Great place with great people. Laura and I really enjoyed meeting everyone and we are looking forward to future meets. Thanks especially to Jon who was a host of hosts :tiphat:

Greg

Agreed, it was nice to see everbody, and put more faces with names. :hello:
But it's really hard to keep up with 2 names (real and forum)

PS - thanks for putting on your best hats. Even Donna thought you all were "nice"

Kirkster 07-10-2011 08:08 AM

Yesterday was great... I will have to see what pictures we have running around on the flash cards.

Jon as always provided a great spread of vittles and enough to feed a couple armies!!!

It was great having 4 Black Cheery cars at the meet, have never seen so many at one place, even ZdayZ did not have that many BC cars.

It was also nice to meet so many new faces especially Greg and Laura with the clone of my car...

ZCarMan 07-10-2011 08:53 AM

Hey folks! It was great that everyone was able to make it out to Sandy Point. I especially appreciate everyone tolerating the traffic at the end. The weather was great although toward the end it was just plain hot! Patricia, Jonathan and I really enjoyed seeing everyone and sharing some good food and conversation and meeting new faces. Hope to see you all again at one of our future meets! Here are a few pics from yetsterday that I shot.

Seriously, that was a feast. Thanks again to everyone who pitched in to make the outing on Saturday a success!

Next time... let's plan this when it's about 20 degrees cooler :happydance:
