It's early still, but the forecast is calling for isolated T-storms, so make sure you bring stuff to stay dry. If anything it will help keep the temps down!

The one you wore at the pride march?

m4a1mustang 07-05-2011 10:15 AM

No, I remember you told me you were wearing a rain slicker or poncho to the gay pride parade, and when I told you it wasn't gonna rain, you said that it wasn't because of atmospheric precipitation, but because you're a "gorgeous blonde".

Ok. Back on track here, enough of the :superghey:.

The weather looks to be a bit cooler than this past weekend. Looking good with the possibility of T-Storms as Mustang pointed out.

So how many are going to be eating BLUE crabs covered in Old Bay? And how many of us are Gluttons for BLUE crabs???

We really need a number and we need to get some money to Shadow as a bushel of GOOD crabs is running around $200 and we all know what a tightwad Shadow is.... So to ensure we get BLUE crabs instead of the other kind we need to get on it...

"Recommended serving quantities are as follows: 1/2 bushels will feed 5 people and bushels will feed 10 people on the average. Warning: Some people can't help themselves and tend to make gluttons out of themselves. So if some of your guest fall into that category you may not want to consider "on the average."
Post up people...

I think that based on that description, and based on the fact that there will be other food there, and we're looking at a potential for 15 attendees, a bushel should suffice. It's an average of about 4 crabs per person, and not everyone will be eating them.

m4a1mustang 07-05-2011 11:32 AM

So let us know the damage.

Unlike regular crabs, you have to PAY for these. So no BLUE crabs if you don't pay!

I think a bushel should be adequate with all the other foodstuffs there. Typically I can easily put away at least a dozen blue crabs (large or jumbo) on my own. I will refrain from being a glutton... :icon14:
