Got it... So if at least two out of Steve, Jay, Redzed and blade are here or elsewhere together, then I should give you some privacy. Do you let us know when it's safe to come in? I just hope you are all being "safe".

How the hell did I get grouped together with those fockers? :roflpuke2:

Because your car has a back seat that could fit two adult males. :ughdance:

Yeah... my Maxima probably weighed in around 4,700lbs (1,100lbs worth of people) on the nighttime Dragon run. Not the smartest idea we've ever had, but it sure was fun making a G35 and drifter 240 pull over because we were going too fast for them :roflpuke2::bowrofl:

Back on topic,

For those who've never been there, this is what Sandy Point looks like.

Sandy Point is cool. The bridge is a sight.

Sandy Point is way cool. Looking foward to the drive up and visiting my old stomping grounds.

Just got the car back from the dealer yesterday. They did tint on the side windows, clear bra up front and installed the NISMO S-Tune exhaust. Everything turned out great and now I am finally ready to start putting some miles on it.

So the one thing I'm noticing about the area at Sandy Point is the lack of shade for grilling and sitting. I'm planning on lots of sun and it being hot. I will bring a couple of 9x9 canopies to help provide some cover. I looked into the covered picnic areas they have for groups but they were all booked and crazy expensive to rent. Don't think we need that anyhow. Just remember to bring a fold up chair with you and some sun screen.

Here are some images to help orient you to where the plan to meet is within the park. After you pass through the main entrance where you pay to get in, just follow the road into the park straight ahead. You'll pass by a white mansion house on your left. Just beyond that is a huge parking lot on both sides, make you way to the one on the left and follow it down to the end. The attached map and overhead image should help.

Sounds great. Hopefully we will have nice weather. Thanks for planning this Jon.

Thanks Jon!

Any plans to caravan down there? It's 30 mins away from me and I will be taking 97S and then 301N/50E to get there. Anyone care to join me?

ZCarMan 06-20-2011 05:35 PM

No problem fellas, you're very welcome. It'll be a good afternoon of grilling and chilling! I'm going to be leaving earlier than most of you to get there when they open and snag a grill/picnic table for us, so I'll see you guys when you start rolling in.
