Airbnb

For those who haven't heard yet, my schedule changed and I'm not getting home until June now so, no ZDayZ for me. :(

eastwest2300 03-18-2016 08:37 PM

damn... I'm sorry bro.

I'll be arriving on Monday, likely too late to cook (though probably not too late to eat :p), but I'd be happy to cook dinner on Tuesday. I'll probably make some kind of fish. If the pig roast is going to happen, I could bring tortillas, salsa, sour cream, cheese, hot sauce, and lettuce like I did last year so people can have pork tacos for lunches and snacks through the week, and some black beans and rice so the non-meat-eaters have a complete protein option. Hell, I might even do fish tacos for my dinner night!

I'd be happy to support an early bird party, just let me know what I can do!

You can put me down for one meal to make the Chicken Tikka I made for the BBQ last year. I might have to pack the cooler with the chicken in someone else's truck before ZDAYZ since the C7 has less interior space than the Z.

Pat and I are registered up. I'm standing by to see what the numbers are going to be like this year for mouths to feed to determine if I'll be roasting another pig. I'm leaning towards not doing it unless we have a lot. We had tons of left overs and actually had to trash a good amount at the end. If Bryan is only having a few people then we probably can just do the usual grill fare.

This is unfortunate news and I'm sorry we won't be seeing you at ZDayZ, but I understand that work is work. We'll look forward to seeing you at the next get together.

I may be hitting a Costco on the way to Fontana from Nashville. If that's the case, I could pick up chicken for you on the way. I'll need to have my cooler with me for my stuff anyway. I can check in with you as we get closer to travel dates, if you want.

Crap, never mind, just remembered you need halal.

Also, I was considering picking up a box of black bean burgers from Costco so the likes of you and me would have easy meals when everyone else is eating hamburgers. Would you be interested?

Yeah I need halal chicken so that wont work. I'm also thinking about marinating the chicken at home and then bringing it in a cooler. This way I can get my mom's help with all the spices. I'll do a spicy and non-spicy batch, unless everyone just wants the spicy version.

The black bean burgers sound like a great idea! I saw them at Costco yesterday and thought about picking some up. I was planning on bringing some Costco salmon burgers and salmon fillets down with me so we can share those as well. We'll have our own little Pescatarian party :icon17:

Fellas, I found a place to crash, I'll be staying with the guys from the Great Lakes Z Club, they've taken me in.. Maybe we could all link up, do a big dinner or something. Really nice group of fellas.

b1adesofcha0s 03-21-2016 11:48 AM

If you're only gonna be there on Friday/Saturday, everyone pretty much has dinner together anyway. I skipped on the dinner from Fontana and will probably just grab food before/after the evening festivities just like last year.

Z Stig 03-23-2016 08:01 AM

I will meet you guys down there on Sunday, but will not be caravanning down there with MAZOC :(. I am going to be driving down that Friday to spend some time in Asheville. I'll get to Fontana around 6 in the evening on Sunday. I'll also check the Google doc registration form and update the OP soon. So please register if you have not already done so.
