Blew my front passenger Michelin PSS last eve, and now I find out that the 265/35 19 is on back-order for possibly two months. :(

I can put a Michelin PS2 on it, but not sure. I've never run mismatched tires.

I need some advice on this. What do you all think?

If you can't find the single tire you need, I would look to see if you can get two of the PSS in a different width (like 255 maybe?) faster than the 2 month wait. The alternative is to run two different treads. It's not a great idea for a DD that sees a lot of inclement weather (differing treads can wreak havoc on steering and traction in extreme cases), but for a lot of people it's not that big of a deal. I did it for about 5K miles after the stock rears went. And I'm doing it right now because one of my rears separated and a fellow forum member that works at a tire place hooked me up with some used rear tires for $50 apiece.

That's a great idea, and one that I hadn't thought of. Thanks JAR

Hi guys I want to share something with you :) Yesterday I take the Z to my first Time Attack Event.... the day was just perfect Yesterday... a very sunny day, a lot of cars... i count around 5 Z's (three 350z's and 2 370z's one Nismo and my Sport Package) and 1 G35... When the event start my first best time was 1:40... is my first time running this track so my best friend give me some tips to make a better line on the track... something that helps me a lot in the other heats... on my second heat I fix the tire pressure and make a better line on the track and this help me to get a faster lap too :) I made 1:37 from 1:40... And finally the last heat... I down the tire pressure a little more to get more grip from my front shitty tires and now that I know the track more i get a better line and my faster lap was 1:35:happydance: At the final of the day I win the 2nd place on my Group.... not bad for the first time that i track my car with the everyday wheels & tires :p here are some pics of the event :) BTW i was the second faster Z too haha!! the faster Z was a full track spec 350z... i was faster than the 370z Nismo too... i need a damn go-pro :eekdance:

carlitos- congrats! looking good.

yah, nismo's are great if you like the styling. since early on, base with sport was known to be faster than the heavy nismo despite the 333hp or watever vs the 350hp.

now imaging wat a base sport with intake/exhaust & grippy tires can do over a nismo. :p

yah, depending on your track, square 18's (id do RPF1's) and race tires might net you a win over that track ready 350z.

 sounds good. definitely find the lowest weight wheels so you can put on meaty tires on them without extra weight from stock. :D

rpf1's are pretty cheap and very light weight. that would be my choice for track car.

I love the RPF01... soo im going to check it out... :stirthepot: i found too the same wheels that i have now but in 18... i want for front 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 for the rear... i can find too much wheels on those sizes... i know Volk is an exception... but too expensive to track them... if i buy it trust me i dont want to damage one of those wheels lool... so the RPF01 are the best for the bucket loool and the same Zedd wheels that i have but in 18":p

those sizes sounds good!

the rpf1's might be as light or lighter than the volks. volks imho are over-rated.
