I prefer to use asstroglide..

I wait until the tank is just about full, then I pull the nozzle out and spray all over the hood.

I like to dip my nozzle in sand then jam it in the nearest hole available.

I tried this once. The sand also works a s a scrubbing agent. It cleans injectors and fuel lines by removing calcium deposits left from not using diesel at proper intervals. I have heard sugar is a wonderful substitute for sand if you are in clay soil type of environment.
If no sand is available or you have no sugar, rocks on the side of the road can be used(freeway rocks work better). I don't recommend it for the fact that cars behind me tend to honk and get annoyed when i stop to pick them up. Hey i cant help it if I love my baby so much i take care of her.

You need to give it a good rub and get it nice and wet .. wetter the better, then the nozzle will just glide right in ...

I always have to pay before I pump.
