finished painting the driver figure last night on my rc truck... will finish up the decals for his helmet tonight and put it all together. :p

I have a 3 hour meeting after lunch, I will make my way to walgreens for a redbull prior to the meeting.

yah, i painted his face, eyebrows and eyeballs. :icon17:
i only have very limited selection of enamels so just used wat i had. :p turned out good. i used semi-gloss gray for his helment, i might do a coat of gloss over it. not sure, will see tonight. :D

so i ordered some generic thermostat for the older fit... :ugh: the factory one prematurely failed, so why bother replacing it with the same one, right?

ive never had a thermostat fail on any of my cars... must be the repeated short distance driving my wife does?

:tup: yah, i went with tamiya's this time because their kits are just frikken cool to look at too. :D i use to run HPI and AE exclusively for racing but tamiya's have always been my go to rc for just screwing around.

clifford- btw, i did the painting by brush... i used the generic testor's plastic handle nylon bristle brush. is there any brushes you recommend for painiting larger areas?

the guy's helmet was about a size of a pingpong ball, and so i chose to use flat paint trying to hide brush strokes. :D
