NO to this statement..

I never hear that Doctor KenChan destroyed a rc car....

:icon18: ive had my series of crashes over 15yrs ago while racing my rc sedans. i always kept 3-4 sets of arms, uprights, and knuckles in my parts bin for each of my cars at all times. :D

i mean if you arent taking your rc car to its limits, why bother driving them.
just keep it a static model for concourse.

I drive the heck out of my rc cars to the point of melting the motor mounts...

 yah, i have to use heat sinks on my buggy motors even in my basement track cause the thing gets SUPER hot with me driving. ..and crashing :ugh:

i still have my 9turn motor that i made that can keep up with a 7turn yet run near 5min on 2000mAh. :D
i bought the armature in akihabara.

kenchan 10-31-2014 01:30 PM

which reminds me... i need to make a cutout in the body forward of the motor to allow more air inside.
its kinda funny how tamiya uses "intake" decals but no hole. hell, make it into a real intake :D

they sell a new plastic material that you can bend and shape to the
proper form factor that you are seeking... a simple hair dryer is the
active and only needed heat source...

kenchan 10-31-2014 01:38 PM

kinda like right after i stopped my music instruments buying spree after spending about $20k a few years ago.

stores were like kenchan you okay? you need anything let me know, ok? hello?

yah, when i was cutting the lexan body on that first buggy, i brain farted and cut the wrong section off since it has so many curves and stuff. i used scrap lexan, cut it to shape, used my heat gun to bend it into shape, then used thin 3m mounting tape. with the factory decal over the piece noone can tell that i made a mistake. :D

i do clearbra installs, PDR, etc on my real cars so i just applied the principles to my rc cars.
