interesting article...

Toyota engineer warns automous cars could increase fuel use, urban sprawl - Autoblog

i too think autonomous cars will bring too much convenience to people that usually dont
go shopping as they dont want to drive their car (or dont have a car or cant drive a car), etc.

been checking the IS forums to see wheel specs, wat folks are running as far as typical mods, etc.

there are a couple of them (as we have on this site) that needs their wallets and tools removed from their hands. lol wtf are they doing to a nice car :shakes head:

I want a steering wheel similar to what Galeforce purchased. I sent the company a request for a quote and they got back to me stating that it would be $950 + core. I was thinking it would be closer to $600, based on what other similarly styled wheels are listed for on their site.

i c on the steering wheel... not sure but maybe tell them you're friends with
mr.gale and perhaps do it for the price they did his?

vip to me is http://www.clublexus.com/forums/imag...1387914497.gif wat were they thinking?

kenchan 07-21-2014 01:25 PM

do RE11's really flat spot as easy as they say?

kenchan 07-21-2014 01:35 PM

you know a while back we (maybe just me) were going in circles as RE11's were
getting 'discontinued' but the re-surfaced only like 5-6months later? and no one could
really tell us whether they were discontinued or not discontinued, etc?

i read that scca street class changed their rules or something to only allow tires with
treadwear 200 and above for their class. the previous gen were 140 or 180, and the
new ones are 200. so im thinking bridgestone made some minor revision on the tire.

not a decade old tire any longer..

that said, does the 200 tread wear version flat spot vs the previous gen? :ugh2:
i would think it would be the opposite..

Did they really get permanent flat spots or just thump a little if you hadn't driven on them for a while?

I'm not sure you can really get a permanent flat spot on a radial.

from the read, it goes away after a few min driving, but this day and age, i prefer not having that at all. :D haha.
especially since my cars are not driven during the week days.

my other bridgestone tires dont do that nor does the conti DW.. so

Yes I had the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 (wow what a mouthful) and they did that. Sit in the parking lot for 8 hours with 37 psi in them, start the car up, get to the highway....

thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa thumpa...

About 15 minutes later... Nice and smooth. Hated those tires. :shakes head:
