Mr Kenchan!!!

I am thinking about replacing my Hotchkis sway bars' end-links with Whiteline or SPL. Question: Is it ok to do this work under the car if I only have the scissor jack I found in the trunk as support? It seems pretty solid. Let me know. :icon17:

:hello:

you will be absolutely fine if you want to come out looking like an accordian after the work  just tell your sons to pump some air into you when you're done. :D

Still muggy and rainy in Houston ms. bc.

Speaking of work, my "temporary retirement" comes to an end tomorrow morning. I start my new job literally around the corner from my old office, so I still have a 7 mile commute which is unheard of in Houston. :happydance:

Since I found a job before my severance money ran out, I did the American thing and bought a new daily driver! Picked up a new 2014 Mini Countryman.

Drove the Z to a brunch meet yesterday and loved every minute of it.

Have a great upcoming week all. :tiphat:

mr.gurney- congrats and congrats! x2 sounds like things are now picking up again. :D

I have noticed a more stable idle in the 100 miles I've put on it today; time will tell. On the advice of a Master Land Rover mechanic, I went ahead and got real heavy on the throttle during the relearn period. I swear the throttle response is much quicker on and off now (placebo?).

Before and after pics attached. Actually my OCD got this one even cleaner after the photo was taken.

wow, how the hell does the tb get so dirty? is that oil from the k&n filters or
just unfiltered dust getting on them? :ugh:

my tb's (even the one on my G with over 30K miles) are prestine. i use the stillen intake on my G
with k&n filter, and you guys know i run the k&n drop ins in my Z.

I think I'll be doing nothing with my Z today.
Unless you guys know a good way to fit a sheet of plywood in the hatch...

kenchan 07-21-2014 10:04 AM

maybe slice it up into strips? :ugh:

I thought about that, but then the sheet of plywood would suck at being a wheelchair ramp.
