kind sucks I am spending all my vacation money on my backyard :ugh2: if only the wife wasn't on maternity leave, this backyard would have more then covered the cost of a BP kit that I want :ugh2: |
Not sure if any of you have had concrete work done but whole sh!t they rape you if you have a contractor do it! My pad would have been 4x the cost then what it cost for me and my brother to do it. Sure it might have taken longer as I work throughout the day/week and can only do so much work each night but in <2weeks I had it prepped (tampered the soil, formed up and rebar in place) and ready to go  yesterday was a busy day though with the pour.

now this week I can finally try to piece my Z back together and work on my power windows issue

First oil change on the wife's car today. Two broken (metal) oil filter wrenches, two trips to the auto parts store, and 2 hours later I'm finally done. Stupid Toyota over-torquing the oil filter housing. I'm shocked/relieved that the housing did not break given the amount of torque required to break it loose. I swapped the element and tightened to spec so, fingers crossed, next oil change will be a breeze.
To the average person, they would've just taken it to a shop, but I just love wrenching! :) |

We turned a 9 hour visit with my buddy and his fiance into a little over 5 hours of wrenching and about 60-70% through the installation of Z1 CSC Elimination Kit. I wouldn't wish this install upon anyone except my worst enemies and someone with better tools (most pointedly, a lift) who just loves doing the work.
We enjoyed a wonderful home cooked lasagna dinner made by my wife. We took plenty of breaks, and the girls did more than their share of day drinking considering they lasted until 10:30 pm. I"m going to do some clean up around the house, which should leave me with just enough energy to post up some more details and pics of the work before I pass out. We are planning to finish up the work tomorrow morning. Teaser:

Wow! Haven't seen a single picture of a Work Gnosis CV202 on a 370z, then I did a video search and found ONE video of the wheel, AND it was on a Monterey Blue 370z!
In this video, I think the fitment is too agressive and I don't care for the step lip, but I like the wheel itself! Watch the second pass when you can see the brushed silver colored set. |
