I need to lube my garage door for the yr too...

I shall do that this weekend.
Basically take the cars out, close garage door, wd40 the spring, use a tad thicker oil to lube the wheels and hinges.

yah, i mean, the garage spring will eventually fail on pretty much all of the garage doors, but if you do the basic maintenance it can extend the spring life by 2x or more. :D

my neighbors (homes built the same year) had their springs break about the 10th year. my garage spring is still the original and it's going 15yrs now.

while oiling, i like to unlink from the garage door opener and just open/close by hand to check if it binds anywhere.

Good idea! This one has lasted 13 years. The middle bracket actually sheared the bolt heads off and was hanging down :icon14:

As I type I hear it going up so that is a good sign

Good morning :hello:

kenchan 06-19-2014 09:10 AM

so ive been checking out the accord sites cause i want to get one next after my fit. im looking at the sedans with wheels and some of them look good as long as it is not staggered.

i see coupes running staggered setup as if it's RWD. all it screams it wants to be a G35C/G37C... but wrong wheel drive and not enough power or sexyness (well, not the G37C, they are ugly).. lol

Headers are an expensive mod that yield little benefit.
