but at one of the sharper turns she almost crashed so i slipped a pass and took off. then some super-fit-mr.man-biker-god-type showed me who's king by handing my arse to me going up hill. :ugh2: :shakes head: thanks.

no respect from taffyapples, no respect from godly-biker-men. :ugh2:

how often do you wax your Z?

if you have a good layer of wax on the panels all the time, it shouldn't leave too many water spots on the panel, and you can just use a microfiber cloth to tap them off.

Same as Mr.kenchan, I don't spray off the shampoo.

I wash a small section (less than 2ft X 2ft) at a time then let clean water runs through it.

The most important is wax, good wax rebels water thus leave very little spots.

:tiphat:

yah, polymer on panels and on glass is a good thing to have. those 'wax (seal) as you wipe' polymer sprays are great especially for the next wash.

hummm, im so glad i dont live in the south. :icon17: lol ;)

water spots on your car, msbc? if so, are you washing in the shade? if not, that helps quite a bit. also washing one or two panels at a time is a good way to minimize spots. wash, then wipe dry. i do this when i have to wash my car in the sun.

water hose should not be in spray mode when you rinse. you dont want the little droplets drying up real quick. i use flood-mode on my firemen's hose, but some folks just remove the nozzle all together and let the water sheet off.

also using spray as you wipe/dry polymer sprays after the rinse helps. i know meguiar's sells them, i use Prima Hydro. that helps quite a bit when it comes to minimizing spots and minimizing swirls since it's not a blot dry technique.

hope some of this sparks some ideas.

griots sells water filteration, but they are not cheap.
