One might think that if you are in the Priority line that those around you have enough miles to be of that status. Then one may conclude that, in order to achieve that status, that those same people have extensive experience in airports. This is only logical.

This morning, however, once again my fellow travelers provided me with disappointment and ultimately despair over the fate of mankind.

Two different people in front of me each decided that they needed to almost completely unpack their carry-ons -- at the beginning of the table, thus creating a log-jam. One of the offending guys looked at me because I think the smirk on my face alerted him to my amusement/displeasure.

He said hello and I told him how much I fondly remembered my first time flying and hope that he was having as enjoyable and experience with his first time.

Have a great day, everyone.

 Haha! I lose a little more faith in mankind every week I travel. I also really wish the airlines didnt allow people to "buy up" to priority. When I spend a couple hours a week at the airport, the last thing I want is to get tied up behind people like you're describing.

Where are you heading this week?

So after using all the tickets and now ridiculously full of beer and bacon, I found one more table that we hadn't tried: sourdough pancake with IPA butter and bacon maple syrup. In addition, they had straight pieces of amazing thick cut bacon. I shoveled about five of them into my mouth in a row after the pancake, ignoring my stomach's protests of pain. It was worth it :yum :icon17:

Need more details on the Festival. :yum:

I hope to make it next year. :happydance:

Thanks for meeting up with us and leading us around Austin yesterday. It's always a good time when mr. JAR shows up.

:tiphat: Your company is most enjoyable as well. Good people =

It occurred to me yesterday when we got split at the light that I don't have your cell phone. I will email you mine here in a sec.

JARblue 02-23-2014 08:26 AM

Oh I just saw that hit, Ms BC. That was cheap :shakes head: :gtfo2:

At least the guy was fine - just a bloody nose, though it looked like it could have been much worse.

Sorry, went back and saw your comments after posting. Glad you had a good time. Maybe next year will be better organized. A venue change would point that out.

I must have an old cell number for you. I texted you yesterday when we first got to Bacon. Thanks again for a fun day. I think I'm going to join Capital Z Club. Looks like a great group.

Time for a nap! I got up at 4:15am and cooked breakfast before the big game. The Daytona snore-fest starts in 3 hours.

Life is good!

I'm finished... not sure whether BFG has even had a chance to start it - depends on how long the mini took to eat breakfast :icon17:

I caught up pretty quick after 2-0. Sweden just started looking worse and worse after mid-way through the 1st period. Their defense was terrible in the last two periods. Lundqvist was the only guy playing well - and he gave up three goals :ugh2: Still, he did a great job not giving up 5+

I didn't really have a favorite here. My only bias is that I am part Swedish (my grandfather still has family living there). So I'm happy they got the Silver medal. They certainly didn't play like they deserved to win.

Canada on the other hand... You guys are hockey playing fools!! Never trailed in the entire tournament. One player (Toews I think) with multiple goals was on the ice for a total of 1 GA in the entire tournament. Pure dominance. Congrats, my brothers to the north :tiphat:

Lundqvist is a crazy goalie any time he is between the pipes probably one of the best ever his NHL stats and highlights are very impressive
