kenchan 03-18-2014 02:35 PM

i use this tool since the glass is so low and long on the front unlike our Z's where we can reach without any tools.

That's pretty sweet. I just wrap the towel over and use the back of my hand to clean real low on the windshield. The rest of it is easier to get with my palm side but still can be awkward

kenchan 03-18-2014 02:40 PM

mr.onzedge- looks like me with my pops when pops needed surgery on his golfing shoulder. :icon17:

hey its going to be okay! <= pops (one getting surgery)

yah, i think even Target sells this tool. it's very convenient. i have two of them. so on one bonnet i put a light mist of windowcleaner on the mf bonnet, and wipe on. then the other one is a dry mf bonnet and i wipe off.

wipe on wipe off
wipe on wipe off
wipe on wipe off

where have i heard this before?

I have one of these. It was given to me as a present. (Nice present, huh?)

Works ok, but the cloth you get with it gets dirty fast. If you use it, put another micro fibre cloth over top.

kenchan 03-18-2014 02:53 PM

... so another must-have tool in your detailing arsenal...

paint brush.

some of you are like WTF? :icon08: yah that's right, i use a boar's hair paint brush, but any paint brush will do to clean the engine bay with some shampoo. wet i down, agitate with paint brush and soap, and rinse. fastest way to clean engine bay.

kenchan 03-18-2014 02:57 PM

another odd ball tool you folks in them southern hot states should check out...

tattoo bottle. WTF :icon08: you say? yah, that + distilled water.

add water to your car batteries once every year. that can maybe extend your battery life a couple of years keeping the water level right. :D
