well, sorry to hear that Mr.kenchan, but some of the tupid-newb doesn't know us that well and they do take thing very seriously, thus they don't know our joke and took it the wrong way. it's one of the problem with internet and especially in the open forum (such as this one), sometimes people are not so open-minded in an open forum. :icon17: |

It's a nice day today, but road conditions stink because all of the ice and snow are melting and there is some flooding going on. |

today i ruined the soft top of the Z
i have a 370z Roadster and i was putting the top back up well the top stopped midway and it got stuck. I tried to put it back down but it didnt work... now the roof is half way open and stuck... does anyone know how to take the top down manually? something probably got stuck... also the back of the car where the top goes down to is completely close so i can't see if there is anything stuck there or not. Anyway of manually taking that off? or moving it up ?
thats what i did with my z today... took it out put the top down came back home now the top is broken SMH |
mr.alcheng- do you know of ways to manually lower the canvas on your roadster?
|
wow, i typed roaster instead of roadster.
ninja edit again. :icon17: |

Mr.kenchan, yes, there's a way to operate the soft-top manually, the owner's manual has a section for that. I tried that but it's better to do it with 2 person. may I ask why do you ask? :icon17: |

hopefully it's not the broken wire, or one of the support of the aluminum frame. there's a section of the manual explain to you how to operate the soft top manually. May I ask, how long haven't you put the top down before you have this problem? |

I notice the soft top will kinda stuck half way if you haven't operate it for a while. same thing happen to mine. since I keep mine in the garage and it will station for the whole winter. the best way is to move the roof up and down once a week something like that. is the roof stilll stucked?? try it again after couple minutes and it should work again. it happen to mine last week, try to lower it and it got stuck half way, switch off the car, wait for a min or two, then start the car again, and try to put the roof back, then try to lower it again and it should work like normal. |
Whasssssssssssssssssuuuuuupppppppppppppp.
