After you do a good workout like that, you should do a good stretch then a cold shower.. your body will thank you for it. You'll actually recover faster with the cold showers.

Post-run stretch is always part of my routine, but I never thought about a cold shower... I always do hot or a soak in Epsom salts. I'll have to try cold.

Yup, and you dont have stand in the shower all that long, just hit the spots you worked out, I usually do it for 2 to 3 minutes, then im good.

You ever wonder why these NFL athletes during training camp and the season lay in the ice tanks/tubs, its for them to recover as fast as possible.

Im a pretty big runner too, I usually hop in the shower, start it out as warm, then drop the temp of the water, do a couple squats or heal kicks, just enough to where the waters hitting the spots I exercized and call it a day.

EW- huh, i didnt know about that cold shower trick either... will give that a shot if i overdo my hamstermillage. :D

training pants sounds like adult-pullups or something. :ugh2: :icon08:
