Forza 5 anyone?
 

Wondering if anyone got an XBone and is playing Forza 5? Game looks beautiful. Next-gen games in a year or two are going to be ridiculous.

I don't have an XBox One, but a friend brought his over the other night. You're absolutely right, the graphics on Forza 5 are sick! We couldn't figure out how to race each other though :shakes head:.

Yea, they really screwed the pooch on the interface and ease of use. Several things annoy me about the game, but I found answers to some of them. Game starts default in scrub mode. Meaning it's set to full arcade mode making everything too easy. They don't have a tutorial on adjusting this so I thought it was just bad game design that they wanted it overly easy. I couldn't crash full throttle into turns no matter what. But it also felt like the car would just stop accelerating even though I had the trigger at WOT. Turns out the "assist" option menu is where it's all hidden. Changed everything in there and now it feels like a racing game. I actually have to drive and have skills to compete. Night and day difference.

I bought a stock Z in the game and dominated the C-class competition. My favorite track is any variation of the Alps. The track selection sucks. I wish there was more cars.....

The game looks great, but it somewhat felt like Gran Turismo at times, which isn't necessarily bad. They'll just put out overpriced car and track packs and we'll be more than happy to buy them. They should've stuck with the Forza 4 formula.

Yeah, I've been playing. The Z is a great car in the game too! Graphics are incredible. I'm having a lot of fun with it. Cool choice on your wheels OP. Look like the F14's. I must of missed those with the concave.

Yea, the Z is great out of the box. Bone stock and dominated the C class comp as well. Only thing that miffs me right now is they're glorifying the BRZ. It's dominating the leaderboards and from my own tests, gets bigger gains than the Z does with mods. I would be fine with that if the car was tested and proven. I expect it to do good, but not that good. They gave it better handling and braking over the Z out the box. Seriously?

I'm trying to spec out a B class Z, but a B class BRZ is turning up superior numbers. I just don't think that's accurate, but I could be wrong. Don't know for sure.

I'm doing just fine with a B class Z. Not setting top times but that's more me than the car. I'm having a hard time finding a balance between keeping the rear wheels to the ground while not sacrificing too much top end speed, but I'm still doing well with it.

The '71 Skyline GTR in Vintage class is REALLY rockn' for me though!!

Wow!. We've come a long way from "Pong".

I've only played about a couple hours so far and the first thing I noticed was the thumbsticks are way too sensitive, there is 0 traction during cornering with very light throttle. It goes from extreme oversteer to extreme understeer with throttle inputs, the "simulation" takes all those complaints and brings it up 5 notches. I'm not sure what it would be like with a steering wheel, and this is only my observation with the starter cars. The AI (drivatars) is irritating too. They drive like juvenile children. I have serious doubts any RX-8 or BRZ could do the extreme power oversteer drifts I'm doing to get around a track.

Yea, drivatars are cool and a curse. They're actual ghost data from other drivers, which is why many of them drive like tards. Your drivatar will show up for someone else as well. Cool idea, but annoying in the end. Wish I could send my drivatar to a friend and vice versa so we can compete and learn from each other.

I'm holding off until they come out with a decent wheel with a 3 pedal setup. I used my Fanatec CSR for Forza 4, GT 5 (and now 6) and I can't go back to playing with a controller.

Just got it since it's free this weekend. Never played froze before but I'm all for online racing. Send me an invite some time and watch me crash lol HtD Mongoose.
