Welp... today is probably going to suck big time. Last night the neighbor came over to let us know that our cat was outside and apparently in pain :ugh2: After a couple of hours at the emergency vet clinic, we left him there overnight with a busted pelvis - I guess he must have been hit by a car :(

The emergency clinic closes at 7 am, so I am on my way there soon to pick him up and take him to our regular vet for evaluation and surgery options :eekdance:

damn man.... hope everything runs ok with your cat!!! good luck on the vet!!

One of our cats when I was growing up got hit by a car (or jumped off the roof, we couldn't tell) dragged himself to the front porch. When we took him to the vet it cost $500 to fix him up.

On a positive note, he was better... stronger... faster.

The emergency room visit last night was more than double that... and that doesn't even include surgery :ugh2:

exsanity 12-03-2013 07:26 AM

He was a good cat. Saved by a soldier from Guam when Mt. Pinatubo erupted and the island was evacuated.

After hours clinics aren't cheap (the x-rays alone were nearly $500). And of course, our animals only get sick or injured outside of normal business hours...

Christmas gifts for family are being downsized quickly. No RJM clutch pedal for me for Christmas either. Can't say I'm happy, but priorities are priority. We'll be fine. I am just hoping and praying the same goes for the cat.
