does the starter motor have an overload protector? if so, is that a self-resetting breaker? perhaps your starter motor is faulty and pulling too many amps. those would be two areas i would check.

Yes, stepping on the brake is required. There is a sensor that wheee! had mentioned but I haven't been able to meet up with Jar to check it. I'll add Gurney's fuel pump guess into the mix too. Might have to take her into Nissan.

yah, i dont know about the AT's, but i think it's that brake position sensor that's sending intermittent signal to the ECU. it could be as easy as cleaning the switch with some WD40 to rid grime in the contacts.

Got the oil changed today. It was comped due to a faulty brake pad install on the 350 last year. They swear they used Mobil 1 but it felt so sluggish after I left. Car feels heavy. :/

I got to my mom's house and the car was left off for about an hour. Went to start it and the engine turned on but then promptly shut off. This has happened a few times before with varying levels of gas in the tank. What should I check to fix it?

Here is a video of one time when it happened. The first try is when it kicked over for a second and then died. (Ignore the "hi" at the end. Some guy came up to my window and tried to sell me something.)

It's it possible it's that the fuel rails are hot? I know that's a random 370Z issue. Besides that, take it back to the dealer. That ain't right

Well, I'll defer to the master on this one. The only reason I mentioned the fuel pump is because I had something very similar happen to an Acura that turned out to be a relay with the fuel pump.

If it can be replicated at the dealership, do yourself a favor and get this one sorted before you get stranded.

So I saw in some j-car mag that the next gen GTR is rumored to be badged as an infiniti, like how the Q50 is called Infiniti Skyline in j-land.
