Hmmm. This was about all I could find at the moment.

"Sec. 547.328. FOG LAMPS PERMITTED. (a) A motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two fog lamps.

(b) A fog lamp shall be:

(1) mounted on the front of the vehicle at a height from 12 to 30 inches; and

(2) aimed so that no part of the high-intensity portion of the beam from a lamp mounted to the left of center on a vehicle projects a beam of light at a distance of 25 feet that is higher than four inches below the level of the center of the lamp.

(c) Lighted fog lamps may be used with lower headlamp beams as specified by Section 547.333."

but ↑ this is about fog lamp, you are going to install a "blinking brake light"...

except for the turn-signal, in most cases, blinking-light is considered signal light and they are exclusive for emergency, thus you got to be very careful otherwise getting a ticket or warning is no fun.
vehicle

Yeah I couldn't find anything pertaining to an extra blinking light.

that will stick out especially when looked at from the front.

for 9" width, you want to be +32 ideally at stock height. if you plan to lower it, +25 should look okay.

blinking red lights is kinda annoying... especially at night and bright.

some bikers had them and i got so annoyed, wanted to smash into them to shut the damn lights off. :p :icon17:

problem with blinking lights is that i tend to loose the sense of distance. that's one of the main reasons why they are so annoying. i have to work harder to determine my distance.

Haha you know it can function as a fog light like it was meant to be :ugh2:

IMO to have it blink or come on when breaking is kind of a waste/ricy. Better off to just wire it up with the simple on-off. Being a Canadian model I have the switch on the turn signal stock so it was easy. Basically just upgraded my OEM fog to one with LEDs

I've used it for less than 10 times for the last 2 years...

to be honest.. if they can't see your tail-light, the fog light won't be much better.... :icon17:

it's actually great in real fog conditions. i have it on mine and used it during really bad fog and downpour. but mine do not blink. just a solid red light.

the fog lamp is significantly brighter, and it being low to the ground, sometimes you get more visibility than up high. :D
