Ice at speed is never a good thing, and large areas can be impossible with even just a small amount of slope. However, the bridges here are mostly flat (excluding flyovers and such), and the ice is usually just patchy because we don't get those long bitter cold spells like up north. So as long as you are going slow enough, a little sliding here and there is perfectly fine, and the vehicle is still controllable enough to get from A to B. However, no one in Texas has a $#@%ing clue in really bad cold weather, so even with the few people actually on the roads, I try to avoid driving at all possible in it. Today is no big deal, and lots of people are staying home anyway cause its Friday :tup: |
