Same here.
Don't think I touched my computer at all the whole day.

Got up and drove to a brewery. Ran their Hangover Classic 5K. Set a new PR despite having a nasty chest cold and the course being 4 laps around an industrial park that had a 60' climb up the front straight.
Ate some brats and kraut, and sampled many fine craft beers.
Stopped by a local airport to watch a young kid soloing in a glider and get a close up look at a 1958 Cessna that was the tow plane.
I have to say it was a good New year's Day.

 That sounds like a great day.

Our big excitement was taking a load of wood siding we tore off the garage to the landfill and then hanging a new gutter.

I had a similar day. Rolled two coats of paint on the ceiling of my man cave and cleaned up a bit. Today is painting the walls and mounting the pot lights. I might be able to start the flooring tomorrow. YeeHaw!!!!!

goodam, everyone. woke up to another 3-4" of snow.
at least the snow shovelers came even though it was new years day yesterday... even if it was late, after 9pm. :icon17: still, by am, 3-4" of snow. :shakes head:

cant wait to the day kids are out in college and wife and i can move back to socal again. :p

kenchan 01-02-2014 09:29 AM

thinking about getting this next spring.

Amazon.com: Dahon Formula S18 Folding Bike, White, One Size: Sports & Outdoors

was looking at the trek hybrids, but where im going, i might need to carry the bike at times inside my Fit. roof racks are not an option cause the bike will most-likely hit the garage structure ceiling beams. :icon17: :ugh:

wat i like about that dahon is that it's a non-compromised folding bike. :D

XiP 01-02-2014 09:30 AM

I enjoy doing laundry. It fills the "bringing order to chaos" need I have.

I like doing laundry but not ironing (probably because I'm still a noob at it and it takes too long)

I need to get a street bike, I rarely go to the park or trails lol.
I just leave the house and go a random direction :icon17:

That is the best way to do it! I have a cheap half decent mount bike I use to ride all over city and country roads. City has a couple pretty nice trails to ride or run just a few minutes from my house

I have not ironed (except for hotel touch-ups) in many years. All my shirts/slacks go to the dry cleaners.
