True, but pay wise I am actually going to take a hit going from construction to a maintenance role. But the pay is still enough to live off. I am doing it to get something more stable over the next few years with my little one on the way. I need to get something consistent so we can have a pattern/system as a family. As much as I love construction and the pay we get (cause it is probably 15-20% more per hour but you are not working all year so it's a hard choice) I will be happy to not be going all over the province and not knowing when or where my next job/paycheque is coming from…...

:iagree: I would probably not do it if my wife was not off for the next year on Mat leave…

I will still be on "the list" with my contracting company so if sh!t ever hits the fan (layoff) from maintenance gig then I still have my spot in the construction company. I will just be turning down their offers for the next 1-2 years minimum.

he always said there would be lots of work once I got my license but damn this week alone I have 3 out 4 companies I interviewed with that have job offers to me already! And I still have 2 if not 3 more interviews to come! Waiting to hear back from one company still.

I will literally be able to take my pick! :icon17: this is awesome!

Awesome news Mike! Congratulations!
