my friend who owns a car audio/security shop, 20+ years experience, suggests me the kenwood from all the other brands, and so far, I am very happy with the choice..

mr.alcheng- i think the kenwood non nav ones are fine. the last gen nav units were  but seems the 2013 models were :ugh: firmware problems and slow.

but my G is already pre-wired for PAC pioneer steering control so if the kenwood is not showing much advantage with their nav unit, i rather just get a pioneer nav HU as the steering control portion would be plug & play. :D

ElVee 12-06-2013 03:41 PM

Did nothing with my Z today, but it managed to will a flat tire onto my winter DD, so it's getting pulled out tonight and tomorrow. Thankfully all sun here today, and while frigidly windy, no snow until Sunday.

Kenwood still makes a good unit, at least their excelon line is.

kenchan 12-06-2013 04:50 PM

i just realized it would be cheaper to get a gps module + a 7" dd pioneer vs just getting a avic 7" dd with nav built-in. :shakes head:

anyway, i think im going perhaps consider getting the gps module since i can use it on my Z if i wanted (4500BT) or even my fit (2500BT) later on.

kenchan 12-06-2013 04:51 PM

btw, that nikon i got yesterday...the lens spec is:

4.0-120mm f/3.0-5.8 30x optical zoom
