I only have one CC. Well, technically two, but I opened one to get 0% when I bought my iPhone 5 and it's almost paid off (Dec) and I will cancel it. I need to cancel my one with BofA and get one that will reward me or something. I don't use it much at all, but if there are rewards, I may use it more. |

Ohh, you can use those points to get cash back, or several other lovely options. I happen to prefer the cash back. They also run triple points for buying certain things like gas.

American Express FTW. We use it for literally every transaction except where it's not accepted. I'm swimming in a bed of points like Indecent Proposal.
Just have to pay it off every month :ugh2: |

Thats the KEY, paying it off every month. |
When I bought my first macbook, I knew I was gonna get double points using my mastercard, so with a zero balance that I had, I made several deposits on my credit card so when I finally bought it, I pretty much zero'd out the balance AND received my points.

yah, if you can, try not to have any credit card balance each month. or if you have 0%apr, pay it off as you are doing. not you, but a big mistake a lot of folks do... they base their affordability by monthly payments. :ugh: that will never get you enough savings and you will be stuck where you are. creditcards created a new definition for 'affordability' which imo is wat is killing a lot of people. there are many people that make $200K a year living paycheck to paycheck. |
With my Visa Black card, points never expire. Also, the points per dollar spent is extremely generous and I transact about $8,000 to $10,000 per month on the card. Hotels, airfare, meals, etc... add up fast. Good thing it's mostly expensed.
