Is there something wrong with me that GTA hasn't done anything for me since the old top-down ones? I've tried to get into it, I really have. It's fun to mess around for a couple hours, but after that it just bores me. Am I alone in this? I must be based on sales.

It's a game that I mess around in a lot but am slow to do the story line because once I have beaten it, all the fun is gone except MAYBE fire it up for a couple races or tom foolery. I will probably get like 80 hours out of it compared to say the *gulp* 1900 hours I have in skyrim play time lol. I really am liking the story line so far. I think they did a really good job at transitioning into different characters and the missions are solid.

Edit* I put a lot of time just cruising too, I like to hear all the songs on the radio stations :icon17: I love doing drive bys with Ghetto Boys blasting on the radio.

If I'm just going to **** around and make no forward progress, I'll do it in Skyrim. Right now the console version of Diablo 3 is sucking up all of my free time. I passed on the PC version. Sitting on my couch with the 51" TV>sitting in my office chair with a 21" monitor. It didn't help that my GF absolutely loves the co-op. The only other game she's like this about is Borderlands 1/2.

I hear that. There IS a lot of stuff to do even when not doing the main story line. All the challenges, funny easter eggs, stuff like that keep me interested for a while at least. Throw in a couple of the main story line missions and that works for a couple hours of entertainment for me.

Skyrim is my main time killer though. I have 5 different characters I cycle through depending on what type of character I want to play. I usually end up with a sneaky thief/archer though. I TRY to do magic/big brute but I dont really enjoy it.

I am actually stealing all the cars I want and modding the crap outta them at Los Santos Customs. I spend waaaay more time driving around and trying to get people to race me than I do shooting/robbing people. :driving:

No, I didn't.

I will have to see about buying it.

I have only modded one car (the Benz - turbo, rims, ECM, and chrome paint :bowrofl:).

I drive it around, then park it back in the storage garage so that I don't lose the car by leaving it somewhere or destroy it.

I looooove to **** around in that. I will get in firefights with the police and end up dying, just because. I try to take out as many choppers as possible.

I used the cheat code to get the attack chopper and was shooting heli's down with missiles... they finally shot my engine, then rammed me mid-air to kill me. :rofl2:

It's way too much fun... I just wish I could get to millions of $$ to have all of the properties and such. I only have a couple right now.

Skyrim was cool, but I never was able to complete it, because it kept freezing at a certain point leaving the Dwarven area... and it was right after a save point.

I gave up and deleted the save and sold the game. It was getting pretty repetitive anyways.

I've just got the one thief/archer. Nowhere near the hours into it you have since the GF hates it. To be fair, it's probably incredibly boring to watch, especially when I just wander around exploring the map.

On my PC it runs like butter, my xbox version sucks lol freezes all the time like you experienced. I am moving to more of a PC gamer because of mods and graphics. I can use my xbox controller for most games too ( I HATE HATE using K/M for gaming). I refuse to do it (only Oblivion will get me to use it cause I haven't found a hack to make the xbox controller to work with it lol ).

*Edit* Mods and the creation Kit can make the replay throughs feel totally different. In the creation kit I made houses, inns, quests, npcs (fully voiced) ect.

I don't have a desktop PC to play games, just a cheapo laptop that gets me by. I would rather be in the living room to play games (360), and that's if I play games at all.

I'd rather not be playing video games - I'd like to be out doing something, but apparently not everyone likes to go out each night, or just hang out. Doesn't help that Phx is so spread out that it takes forever to get anywhere.

Exactly. I spend all day looking at a computer monitor, I'll be damned if I do it at home.
