How is it possible?

I do not get it. I can work on car audio, car electronics, home electronics, computer, computer repair, and a lot more with electrical. But for the life of me I can not understand basic math WTF is wrong with me. I had my final tonight for my class and failed it by 7 questions. :shakes head: I do not understand it. Sigh

Your probably just a bad test taker, my wife is the same way she's awesome on hands on and one of the top in her nursing class, and she's having a hard time passing her NCLEX.

Ya that might be it. I was okay doing the chapter tests and all but this final I failed.

Do the numbers get all mixed up in your head? Cause sometimes people have that where in their mind everything is a jumble, but using their hands with something physical allows their mind to calm down and work an exterior problem with ease...

maybe you were really nervous while taking the exam? i for one gets mental blocked every time im nervous so i try to stay calm ALWAYS http://animepisodes.info/images/f6d9...d621adec1d.jpg :)

There will always be another test, so life will go on.

Did you feel like you were prepared before hand?

I'm first and foremost a writer, and Math classes have always been difficult, yet somehow I come out well.

One thing I learned a long time ago is a math class (for me) has to be lecture. Any independent study and I'm toast.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, you might just be a poor test taker, or perhaps you are like me and math just doesn't come to you like it does with some.

and the other thing is, not all electrical = math, only the schematics portion.

I, also, do electronics for a living, Anything and everything that LVMPD has installed in any and every car is installed by me and the crew I work with. Some of them wouldn't know 1+1 = 2. Its a lot easier for them to match red + red = good and red + black = bad. heh

In all honesty you probably just didn't prepare well enough. I am a nervous test-taker so in college I had to spend a lot of time preparing for exams. The problem was I was very lazy, so freshman and sophomore years I really didn't "get it" and never tried hard to study. I knew the material from in class but I'd drop the ball on the exams.

My last three years (I changed majors two years in) I "got it" and preparing for exams meant setting aside a minimum of an hour per night to study. As I actually got close to exam dates I would spend a few hours at the campus library going over material.

As the classes got tougher I had to devote more time to them. Auditing took a lot of time because it was very comprehensive... everything you learn in all preceding accounting classes is applied in auditing, so if you were weak on a certain subject three semesters ago you had to force yourself to learn it now. Global Financial Wealth Management was also tough because of all the elements of math, econ, investments, etc. I lived in the libary my senior year. :)

It was all preparation. It's easy to give up and be lazy if you think you don't get something. But be honest and ask yourself if you're really trying as hard as you can? The answer is probably no.

^ that is exactly what I think is happening to me mustang. I think I am lazy for studying and all. I mean I did fine on the chapter tests and all but when it came to the final I just did not pass it. Luckily they are going to give me another shot at it because I was so close. I hope I can get my sh** together and study for it this time.
