it was Geroge Lucas' first "real" movie. that's where the THX in THX audio came from. there is an 1138 reference in star wars as well. i think there are a few other references in his following moves as well, but can't remember them.

it was one of those movies that was rather ahead of its time, but really boring... one of those dystopian future type movies. there are some sweet cars at the end of it though.

I HATE HATE HATE Hackers with a passion. I have owned a copy, since back when it came out, and unless I'm mistaken, I still haven't watched it.

yeah, probably not the realistic depiction of what goes on... but still... come one, they where using a 256, with a 28.8 bps modem, how can you not like that.

I loved hackers at the time, but yeah, not realistic at all. Now I avoid it like the plague, makes me feel crazy old.
