Anybody here think "Idiocracy" is heading for "cult film status" ?

That movie is EPIC... a more appropriate movie which paints such a grim and accurate picture of the future i am yet to see...

Good movie but IMO not that great.

^ how do you mean? Its really low budget - but in terms of the message delivered its pretty startling... I honestly see our country heading down that path eventually...

Actually their #1 TV show "Ow My Balls" may be more intelligent than what's on TV now........

The movie made me laugh, it was entertaining but not as good as some of my favorites comedies.

Precisely! It paints a grim picture - and sadly the only people who will watch it and appreciate it are the ones who already have gotten the message loud and clear

I think Idiocracy is an excellent movie. Unfortunately Mike Judge has struggled for years with production companies and their failing to give him support or funding.

This movie could have hit a much larger audience, but it was swept under the rug.

Good movie. Better then 2nd time I saw it.

You have to view it w/ a cynical appreciation for satire... but with the knowledge that whats satirical today - is tomorrows reality..

did you know that if you drink like 8L of water in a couple of hours, you will die because of electrolyte is unbalanced and the body cannot compensate for it quick enough.

true story:

there was a contest for who can drink the most water. so a young hot chick that works for an orphan house went and became a contestant. the prize was for a Wii, which was hard to get that particular time b/c it was so rare to find. she drank the 8L of water, won the prize...ran to the bathroom and died on the spot.

and before the contest, many ppl phoned in and including senior doctors warning them that a death could occur b/c of the electrolytes getting unbalanced. reverse osmosis is what kills in that situation.
