I need a graphics card for my computer, its for gaming I want to hopefully get something that will give me atleast 100fps, I have a 23' moniter I don't know if that matters but yeah, please someone help me out and if you can/know the price then add that in there also.

Can you list the rest of your specs and what games you hope to have 100fps in exactly? Also what resolution is your 23" monitor?

shadspimp 07-31-2009 07:28 PM

This is the moniter right here Samsung - 23" Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HD Monitor - P2370 and the games I would like to have 100fps on is Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike Source

If someone can, please give me some info quick because I am looking to buy this as soon as I get info about what will be a good card hopefully runs with 100fps if its more then 100fps and a reasonable price I wont mind but as long as you guys can help me asap! thank you:tiphat:

100fps on counter strike and source shouldn't be a problem with a Geforce 8800 GTX. Those are pretty cheap these days at newegg.com. If you want room to grow, the Geforce GTX 275 or Radeon HD4770 are the budget cards of this generation.

Whats the best card to get at about 150$ or a lil more or less doesnt matter

Newegg.com - EVGA 896-P3-1255-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Best bang for buck atm.

you need to make sure you have a PCIe slot in your computer to put a new card in. if you only have an AGP slot your options are limited. it would suck to buy a card like that and find out you can't put it in the computer. i've got this card and it works GREAT:

Newegg.com - PNY VCG98GTXPXPB GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

i can run everything but crysis at max settings smoothly on my dual core 2.6 ghz w/ 4 gb of ram

Who still uses AGP thats about as bad as 56k or a CRT monitor... :icon17:

(yes im only joking)

theDreamer 08-02-2009 09:08 AM

Hey, I still have a system, which I need to finish building that has an AGP slot. Though no 56k or CRT monitors anymore; now if only I could find that 1MB hard drive. ;)
