Typical dealer experience so far... The Z has been sitting in the service drive for over an hour and the shuttle that's supposed to give me a ride home is 20 min late and going to be even longer as they sent it to pick up parts that were delivered to the wrong dealership.

I am billing $250 per hour to post here. I am waiting for an update to load on one of my client's systems.

Yup. I just hope they give me the response I want when they call me after they look at it.

:ugh2: I'm not irritated or anything, but nothing about my experience so far has led me to believe that this dealer is different than any other dealer, other than my conversation with the Service Director almost two weeks ago which was pleasant enough.

Btw, a guy in a red Z drove up about 20 min after me. He was in and out before the shuttle even showed up. He had service actually done to his car even, while I'm just getting mine looked over by a tech :ugh2: Not sure why I had to make an appointment for mine... At least I had a chance to chat with him and inform him about the forum

Have they actually looked at it yet? and are they going to let you back there to point out the small things?

My dealership just installed a big viewing glass in front of the brand spanking new service area. it's really nice, also has a doorway from the customer lounge so I can go back if I want.

Nope, I just got home from their shuttle service. I'm just having the headliner looked at for potential replacement under warranty, so I don't know what could possibly take them so long. I'm content with just letting them do their thing - if it were mechanical work I might be more interested in watching them. I could see it sitting outside in the service drive from the waiting room - lots of windows :ugh2: I took plenty of photos of the condition (thankfully, freshly washed makes it harder for them to hide anything), as well as the mileage, including leaving them a note about driving it more than a couple tenths of a mile. If there's more than 0.5 miles on the car when I get it back, I'm going to raise hell...
