Taking my rim to Discount today. The guy wanted me to call to setup a time, but every time I called he was "busy" and I left messages for him to call me back, so **** it. so yesterday i had to redo my dinoc around the hvac trim. :ugh:

last time i used one sheet to wrap the entire trim and it looked great until the
summer sun hit it with in-cabin temps reaching over 120F. :shakes head:

i had to use a lot of tension when i wrapped around the hvac rings so that is
part of the reason why this happened. :ugh:

this time i did the trim using 4 pieces. the main base piece, then 3 hvac
rings.

here's the base piece and the center ring attached. the center ring is only for
cosmetics to add consistency to the other 2 rings.

here are the side pieces that go on the outer hvac rings. i used masking tape
to make a template. this has no tension on the dinoc so it shouldn't peel up
or wrinkle later.
