I stumbled upon a video from this years Comic Con of my best friend since grade 1 facing off against his boss Matt Groening in a drawing contest.

The name on the video is wrong but you can hear Phil Lamarr say his proper name at the start of the video, Edmond Fong. He is an animator on The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, to name a few. He also directed a few episodes of Futurama.

I'm proud of his accomplishments. He is extremely talented and has worked very hard to get where he is today.

That is sooooooooo freaking awesome  I've been a Simpson fanatic since it started. I have nearly all of the seasons on DVD (up to about Season 20), and I'm not embarrassed by that fact :icon17: If you ever come across any of his swag, I want :pics:

Re:undershroud. I'm not too concerned with it. That's it's job, protecting the important things from road debris. I felt the piece if tire hit the floor(?) further back. I'll jack it up this weekend and do a full inspection.

You know you could just remove the boost controller to get rid of the noise, right? :icon17:

But seriously, good job  I can imagine it's just as hard to diagnose issues like that when you don't DD the car as it is for me to tear apart my DD for mods :ugh2:

I'll check my car once I get it back. I know I have one of those orange pieces

Haboob 07-24-2013 08:49 AM

Now I'm 1 piece from $10,000, one from $20,000, one (Boardwalk) from $1,000,000, and one from a Superbowl trip...

Ugh, I have a feeling I'm going to be on the outside looking in once again... Time to go to FB for additional pieces me thinks. :icon17:

Haboob 07-24-2013 08:50 AM

And I checked the last hasbrown, got an orange, but I have NY Ave already. :( What a tease...

JARblue 07-24-2013 08:50 AM

I'm pretty hungry myself - I was going to cook kabobs last night, but I accidentally left the grill too hot too long while I was preparing the food :shakes head: It fried the grill, so now I have to repaint the interior and replace the grill racks and the "flavorizer bars" as Weber calls them :ugh2:

Haboob 07-24-2013 08:53 AM

:excited:

Should be getting my rim back today. Discount better not play games.

I need a new lug nut though, one is rounded (had to hammer the wheel wrench on in order to get the wheel off). Maybe I'll make them give me one. :stirthepot:

Been there, done that. Left the grille on to "warm-up", it started a grease fire. I look outside and there are flames shooting out of the grille and the thermometer is pegged at the 700° max.

Once it coooled down, i noticed that part of the aluminum bottom tray had melted away! I was just lucky the propane bottle didn't go off.

kenchan 07-24-2013 09:33 AM

i thought i was having a rough morning dropping my medium done sunny side ups onto my stove and egg yoke dripping into the range.

i was about to yell "FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK!!!" but then remembered i have 2 kids upstairs and that would probably not be a logical thing to say.

then i walk outside the f-king garbage pickup buttface overturned my garbage taffyapple bin with crap still inside while lifting the recycle bin using the truck's arms. there's a reason why i have like 2 ft between the bins you f-king moron! so i was very upset, i started QD'ing my fit. :icon17:

kenchan 07-24-2013 09:38 AM

this guy reminds me of another local guy that was selling used wheels... he started PM me in a yelling manner after asking him if it was flawless or not cause his pictures were tricky to see. he replied back 'these wheels are used. do you know what used means? they are therefore in used condition. means some curb rash is "normal" got it?'

http://www.the370z.com/parts-sale-pr...s-spacers.html

uhhhhhh....curbed wheels is NOT NORMAL! you just dont know how to drive. :shakes head:

:icon18: My thermometer pegs at 600F. It was wrapped all the way back around to 200F, and the porcelin-enameled grill racks now look like bubble wrap :ugh2: I haven't checked it for further damage, but I wouldn't be surprised to find the bottom tray compromised. Did you just replace the whole grill?

JARblue 07-24-2013 10:09 AM

So you can throw a huge wrench into someone's career by firing them because you don't have the self-discipline not to cheat on your wife? That's :bs: What a fvcking tard :shakes head:

I used to know people that worked there, a long time ago - that's when I never really had a problem.

I don't know that Discount rounded the lugnut or if it was us when we did the spacers (Discount made no mention of it when repairing the tire though).

Hopefully they'll call me mid-day (or before I'm off of work) so I can plan to just pick it up w/o having to go home first. :ugh2:

i see...

rounding a nut usually happens when the tire places use standard vs metric and just pound away with their high impact guns thinking they have the right socket. :shakes head:

i hope they have a spare lug for you. :) those lugs with washers are kind of hard to find at most stores.

Costco has them

Haboob 07-24-2013 10:35 AM

I'm also wondering if they have to respray the whole rim... I think they would, no? To get a consistent colour and shine?

I'm so nervous it's going to look different than the others. :eekdance:

Really? That's good. Maybe I'll just go buy some rather than dealing with the hassle of asking them and possibly more bitching. :/
