Mike, I'm leaning towards the Z1 kit exactly as you purchased. As several people are mentioned, it's a quality, proven kit. Easy install, no issues?

OMG. I just discovered Dropbox for Android.
My photography/phonetography/instagramming/tweeting just got so much easier!

Oh yeah! Dropbox is awesome! Don't know how I ever lived without it.

I used to email phone pictures of crappy parkers to myself so I could run them through Lightroom on the computer before posting them here or I'd e-mail finished photography to myself so I could share it on Instagram via my phone.
Now it's all synched with a simple drag and drop! Yay! :happydance:

Because of time constraints and a lack of proper tools, I had it installed for me. It's super simple though. It took the mechanic about two hours. Just remember to have some extra oil. I went ahead and did a full change, and it took about 6.5 quarts.

motored my Z this am, QD'ed afterwards. was a good drive. :tup: was a painful 35-40min cleaning my Z... my right foot hurts like hell. :ugh: but was worth the :driving: :icon17:

wife vac'ed the rest of the house with the kids this am cause ive been limping. lol :icon17:

then proceeded to mount my updated nuvi to my Fit with new brackets. fitment was perfect. :p got to use my new ratchet drivers too. perfect! :tup:

it eats a lot of battery power though on my droid4, so im using smart-action app to wifi when i have it charging and upload/download only during wifi connection. :)

we were actually gonna try and see Pacific rim but with the bad weather rollin in, its redbox instead.

Well, my DIY thoughts were I'll just do it with the nice quality hoses and fittings and try out the Tru-Cool core first. Worst case, I have to also buy a Setrab core, and I'm only out an extra $65 by trying the inexpensive option first. However, LMB's and your comments regarding the known quantity of the kit just make too much sense when I factor in my time constraints for the install. As a DD, I don't have the luxury of taking it apart and letting it sit for days on end while I try to figure out some piece of the install puzzle. I rarely get more than a day or two of downtime - the most I've ever had was the time my front bumper sat on the couch for a week while driving my wife's car around since she was out of town.

I hope I can do it in less than 2 hours, but it doesn't matter either way. IIRC, the Nismo requires a few more installation steps than a base Z due to a Nismo Chassis Dampener. I changed my oil ~1000 miles ago (right after the Nismo Performance Academy), but I will take this opportunity to switch to Mobil 1 0W-40 (from the 5W-30). Also, I am going to start getting the larger oil filter (probably Purolator).
