A good DA has the option to switch the back plate to a smaller or larger one. You should see if your griots is the same as mine if so u just need the bigger back plate and some pads to match

ahh... different beast entirely... I'm with you. I think either one will serve you well, but I wouldn't hesitate to get the more expensive one if you think it's the better purchase :tiphat:

Can I get your opinions on what I should do with my cars?

My current car situation:
I have 3 vehicles: a 2008 Toyota Highlander which is my daily driver, 2011 370Z, and 2011 IS-F.
I only really need one... My Z and IS-F sit in the garage most of the time and are collecting dust and depreciating so I want to sell two vehicles and keep one. They're all paid off and I don't owe anything on them but I feel like I'm losing money just keeping them here. I'm leaning towards selling the Z and IS-F and keeping the Highlander because it's the most practical of the 3 and the others still have high resale value. I could use the money towards buying a new house.

LunaZ 07-02-2013 02:01 PM

She could at least be tonguing something more worthy!

If you have to get rid of two, keep the Z for your DD and use the Rav4 for any "practical" needs you might have :tiphat:

If you don't need all that space I would sell the Highlander and Z and keep the IS-F. It's sporty and can still seat 4 on short trips if needed.

If it was me, I'd keep the Highlander + either the Z of IS-F and get rid of the other. There will be days where you wish you had something more fun than the Highlander, whether it's the Z or IS-F. I agree though, it doesn't make sense to have both sitting in the garage all the time, especially if you're looking to buy a new house. Dump at least one and put the money towards the house. If you're just concerned with getting the most money then yes, keep the Highlander and sell the other two.

Well, I just think that since you have access to a practical vehicle, then you don't need to keep your Highlander (I use my dad's Rav4 all the time ). And if you're not going to keep the most practical vehicle, then you might as well keep the least practical vehicle :driving:

Depends what trim Z and miles. The Z and GTR holds its value surprisingly well.....can't say the same for the rest of the Nissan lineup. Infiniti included

Going from personal experience when we built this house, I wish I bought a truck. There was/is so many things I could have used it for. For that reason alone I say keep the vehicle that can move the most, tow the most, etc. Get yourself into a nice house and revisit the pleasure vehicle in a year or two after you've settled.

when i was racing RC cars, my wife would tag along and race as well. she sucks at driving those RC cars, but with her pikachuu painted beetle the crowd went crazy cheering her on. :D around middle of the race she'd hand me her radio (controller) and i bascially beat everyone out in novice class. :p i raced pro-modified which is the highest rank with the fastest cars.

I have a lot of parts for the Z I'd need to sell off before I sell it, tires, wheels, coilovers, bodykit, fenders, hood, seat rails, etc.

nope i've always lived with my parents
my mom passed away on Sunday and the house we currently live in is WAY too big for me and my dad... 3200sq ft, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 living areas, 2 patios, detached garage. It's too much to maintain and property tax here is ridiculous. we want to cut costs and are planning on moving sooner or later. I currently have a ~50+ minute commute to work and want to cut that in half at least

For me, my Altima was able to haul the majority of my home depot trips, but did run into the occasional large item that won't fit and that's when I'd borrow a family members SUV. I still want a truck though, just can't justify it....even with the house haha.

I definitely got some looks a few weeks ago. I bought a small 4 shelf unit for the garage, forgetting that I had driven the Z. Everything fit, just had to unpack the box in the lot and stack the shelves in the hatch one by one.

im real sorry to hear, xip. :( my condolences.

are you going to be living with dad? i suppose buy a small 3 bedroom 2 car garage with a long driveway so you can park your dd outside and your hobby car inside...and live in an area where HOA takes care of the landscaping. to me mowing the grass is just a total waste of my time and i hate planting, so i prefer to just pay someone to do it for me. :D

There is no doubt parents are always there to help, no questions asked.

Like Mr.kenchan said, I'm an independent type of person. My parents are there for me, I just like doing things on my own.

Sorry to hear about your mom.

Are you planning on buying the house and living with your dad or branching out on your own? Either way, ditch the toys, and become a homeowner. I thought you already owned a house and that's why you had the toys. House > Cars.

Also if you can, get a 3 car garage or a deep 2.5 car garage. I bought my house before I got married so a two car was plenty, however, I guess being married means your wife gets a spot on the garage so when I get a winter DD in a few months, it's going to have to sit outside. I HATE parking any of my cars outside, especially when the snow comes. Plus you can never have too much garage space :)
