We have them at least every couple of months. Unfortunately, it's to the point when we hear it we all look around and say: Anyone gonna leave this time? :p

Thats the way it was at my last job. It was pretty funny. We would just stare outside and look at all the ppl just standing around waiting for the ok to come back in. Then they started doing that close to lunch time and we would just leave for lunch instead of waiting around.

Programmer. I'm doing a pretty interesting (and cushy) PHP/MySQL work from home project now. I'd love to do some embedded or lower level stuff professionally.

That sounds amazing! I'm studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan. Any details about your projects or info about the field in general would be sweet!

This is a cool thread! A lot of unexpected professions in here. An honest to God rocket scientist! How cool is that.

Anyways, I'm a Network Administrator for three manufacturing plants here in the states. It's nice to see other geeks like me here.

Aside from all the whining, bitching and moaning from users I love my job. Plus, no proxy restrictions for the IT dept means more time for sites like this. ;)
