Driller. Not for oil though. Soils samples for foundation design and other new construction.

Not much work out there right now needless to say. It looks like I may be laying off a few people next month if things don't pick up. Prolly should have done it this month but I didn't have the heart to do it before xmas.

Ooooh, yeah, I do. Right now it's all about a kerosene-liquid oxygen pump-fed, regen-cooled engine for a sub-orbital launch vehicle.

How do you get into something like that sir? Right now I am unemployed because my family fired me while I was on workman's compensation now I am screwed cuz the economy is soo f'ed up right now. I need some recommendations for a career and the education needed to achieve said goal. I used to be a hazardous materials driver and an experienced automotive technician.

Well, most of the people here got here by either answering a wanted add, knowing someone here, or by "cold-calling" the company looking for a job. The common thread is that they showed up ready to work and very flexible in the type of work they would do.

My case is a little different. I was looking for a different job, but an agent for my present employer found my resume online and called me to pitch the job. As it turned out, the company and I hit it off, and so here I am. In my life I've gone from automotive tech to engineering student to manufacturing engineer to aerospace engineer - so far, anyway.

Graduating with a Mech. Eng. Degree with a minor in Interncal Combustion Engines in 19 days!!

And the kerosene-liquid oxygen pump-fed, regen-cooled engine sounds more orgasmic than a playboy mag haha
