My pops was a big Sonny Rollins fan, he was a jazz radio DJ here in L.A. for 30+ yrs until his passing in 1989...the late, great Jim Gosa.

Here's a clip of my dad on the radio from 1976...he even talks about a Sonny Rollins 'One Night Only' gig in L.A. at that time...around the 11:30 mark.

They're a little too enamored with themselves being in a band and getting some notice (i.e., douchey as fuck), but they play some pretty good twangy, liquidy, soulful garage.

Sort of the Animals meets the Velvet Underground meets the Zombies to my ear.
