I don't have that kind of money for the T1i... but it seems bad-***. Love the HD capabilities.

If I don't have the spare cash to pay for something in whole, I won't buy it. |
^^ Completely agree..
Back on topic though I really enjoy Nikon, I always have, I have two of them. Neither of them are digital though. |
Well, picked up my Rebel XS over the weekend... this thing is ******* SWEET. So much better quality on just auto settings than my Powershot with custom settings. Can't wait to get good with this camera.
Which version of Photoshop do you guys recommend? No sense shooting in RAW if I'm not gonna use it, lol. |
The NEX was sure going thru a lot of D5000 kits this weekend saw them dolly up 2 loads of em

I shoot with a Canon 20D a 30D and a 50D. Very good bodies each and every one. The 50 is newer with better technology.
Now all my lenses are a different story. But you asked about a camera. BTW.. it's not so much about the camera body itself but experimenting with different lenses, getting some proficiency with a photoshop program and practic practice practice. Personally, I would just start with a simple class on the functions of an DSLR at your local camera store. |
The only thing that I dont like about Canon is they still use the CF cards, where Nikon I believe uses SD cards that you can plug right into nearly any laptop.

First of all, Nikon vs. Canon is pointless. They both make great camera systems. The real choice when starting out is really who makes the lenses you like best, then go with that manufacturers body. To me, Nikons "feel" better in my hand. On top of that, I have many lenses that I have acquired over the years, that I can still use on my digital Nikon bodies, so I have stuck with Nikon. As to "Nikon's photo processor making things look really fake" I'd have to ask you what the heck you are talking about? If anything, Canon places more "default" processing on a captured image, not Nikon! The way the camera comes out of the camera depends on a multitude of in camera settings. I personally shoot raw and leave the processing to post exposure. |
