I took Mrs.Force out for a boosted drive. The car pulls like a mofo! Michelin PSS might be ok for the masses but I need something better... much better. Having the rear end come loose when getting on the boost while already traveling at 120kph, without downshifting, is an issue. I was also surprised that the tires chirped once they started to grab traction. :icon14:

I have also come to the realization that there is no point looking at the speedometer when boosting. As soon as boost comes on, you're more than likely well over (or soon to be) the speed limit. Assuming unassumed/private roads have speed limits.

What size wheels/tires are you running in the rear?

Never mind, I see 305/30R19 on a 19x11 wheel.

That's a little small-ish for 500+ whp. Sounds fun. :D

:eekdance: I'm approaching 10k on the stockers. I glanced last night and tread wear looked minimal. Looks almost brand new...

I have 12k on the stockers, will probably be getting new tires after this season though.

haboob- make sure you look at the treads on the inner tread side. that's where the true wear is. :)

kenchan 05-17-2013 03:53 PM

Tire Tech Information - Measuring Tire Tread Depth with a Coin

Oh yeah, I know. Though, I don't drive it hard at all really, so I may be extending the life of the tires a bit... I hope. ;)
