Passing out reps soon :tiphat: Sorry for the recent sabbatical I took. I spent over a week repping a bunch of DIY and useful posts that I should have repped a long time ago

You already sanded it, remember? Also, I think those instructions are more for filling in a dent or something in the fiberglass - it's to help the putty adhere to the fiberglass better. Since you'll be filling a hole, the putty doesn't actually adhere to the exterior surface.

I wanted to put the putty on the back and front for more a filled type job. I'll do the front side first and see how it holds up.

Pint just sand lightly. You are just trying to get a rough edge to adhere to. Morning all. Just checking in. Paying bills online. Good news on the job front- the administration is finely starting to negotiate. ZDayZ is looking like more do able. :ugh2:

You shouldn't need to sand the backside. The fiberglass on the back should be plenty rough for the putty to adhere. There are lots of nooks and crannies for it, too. Shouldn't be an issue. If you really want to sand it, just do what Fire said, and make sure it's a light sanding

Hoping for good results Pint. I feel your pain, I'm not a body person and any type of sanding, painting ect. scares me. It took me 6 months to drill into my 370Z's trunklid for the rear wing. Turned out perfect but still worried me.

It's too bad the delta wing is having soo many issues. In the last race the motor had issues. They should take out the V4 and drop in a twin turbo 3.7l V-6.:eekdance:
