:iagree: I want to get everything painted before I bring the Z home, other wise unfinished drywall (not painted or primed) will leave a dust on your cars constantly. That would drive me and any other clean car/detailing nut CRAZY! :icon14:

If I am lucky (fingers crossed) I can get the floor done this coming week so it can cure for a while before I park on it

OK I have a silly question. Can you apply plastidip to the inner exposed fiberglass of the lip for added reinforcement?

you can, but im not sure if that adds any reinforcement. if you are worried about the fiberglass coming apart at the edges, i usually take a swab and put paint along the edge. i do this often with CF just to lock-down the fibers so moisture does not get inside the epoxy. :) i use generic black enamel i have left over for that. :D

..or..if you're worried the plasti dip might peel back on its own from the edges, i'd add primer along the edge and inside to maybe 1" width. ive not plastidipped a big piece so dont know for sure, but that's wat i would do if i was going to use plastidip.

honestly though, my paint of choice would be that duplicolor engine enamel i mentioned earlier for matte black finish. it comes out quite even and flat and nice. :p

I think that Bondo would be a good choice for reinforcing fiberglass.

I'm probably talking jar up on his spray paint offer. I read about the Plasti dip primer being permanent.

:ugh2: i knew it wasn't "better", or even a chance of "better". Just acknowledging the situation i guess.

plastidip wouldn't provide any measurable amount of reinforcement.. not at all

same here lol

OT is always nice :) Do you get to charge mileage as well? I haven't reimbursed myself yet for mileage in 2013 :icon17: Should be a nice healthy check, maybe some mod $$? wishful thinking I'm afraid... it will probably just resupply the savings account since we just wrote a healthy check to pay our taxes (aka taffyapple taxes) :ugh2:
