The possibility is there. If the moons align with the date of the cruise, Mrs.Force's schedule, and my schedule, I'm in

I only work half days on fridays when we aren't doing OT. It takes 3 months to do each job, so the last month or so we work all week which sucks cause I am never home:shakes head:. But the first couple months is nice :ugh2: I guess.......(hard when you like $$$ to though :roflpuke2:)

sounds like a deserving half day friday, LMB!

Has the company even been notified of the non-delivery, or are people just content with whining?

They have been notified by hundreds if not thousands on Facebook. No one could get through to a store yesterday and most stores took their phones off the hook. I just spoke with someone at the store and supposedly it's out for delivery again. I'm getting something made on the 13th and that's possibly out of a fridge for a few hours yesterday.

I'd say screw it and just get your money back. That's a huge fail on their parts. That's one of their best days of the year and they totally dropped the ball.

Sorry you didn't get your gift. :(

Note to self: start new delivery service and advertise big for next Valentine's Day. Take orders all the way through the evening of the 13th. Close the business the morning of the 14th. Profit.

I should add that in the past 10 years or so, I have worked on about 15 failed external hard drives given to me by various friends. About 25% of the time, the drive is recoverable in some fashion, though only once was I able to leave the drive in the enclosure. I always recommend a NAS (Network Attached Storage) running a RAID 1 or 5 with reliable enterprise-level hard drives with 5 yr warranty. Two of my friends EACH had four external drives fail before they finally broke down and had me build a RAID 5 NAS for them.

Hmmmmm-^^^ i have an external drive w about 10 years of photos on it :ugh2:
Rethinking that now....i have a 1 terabyte hard drive on my desk top pc.....may be moving them over .....:tiphat: thx Jar!!!

GoDaddy has an excellent online storage solution for backing up photos and such (smaller files). It's less than $15 per year for 100GB  The product is just called Online Storage.
