My shoulder is still not 100%, it's about 50-60% now with a little pain, I took a pain killer before the tennis, easy on my game (well.... easy~~ uh.... I try...)

The shoulder hasn't come off yet so it is ok for now, have an appointment with the specialist on the 16th, he will do an assessment on it and we decide what's next, most likely I will ask for an MRI and see is it the cause of scar tissue or something else.

:tiphat:

sounds good that you're on the path to recovery, mr. alcheng.
hope the MRI shows what's wrong or remove all worries. :)

Made the most of my first full day as a 50yr old :) Got myself a new iMac and the oil for the spring oil change in the Z. Out to make the appt with the dealer and say hello to them. My frau has better comms with them though. She wraps good German and perfect Hungarian with them(owners son spent his summers in Hungary as his mother is from Budapest).

I try a bit o'English but can get by with my weak German skills. The dealer is good folks and it will be nice to have the Z ready for good driving season next week. Oil in and summer tires will be ON! Soon time to light up the Pilot Super Sports for some warp speed Autobahn funnnnnnnn :tiphat:

Wish all of you a super day today!!!

PS -----heading to Geneva this weekend for the Auto Salon(83rd International Motor Show, Palexpo, 7th to 17th March 2013. World premieres in car industry, international car exposition). My first time to hit this show. Im hoping to gather some data on the new GTI and the Alfa Romeo 4C. If you all want some data on something that you like let me know. We leave Sunday!

happy b-day DLSTR! enjoy your day. :D

my box with HU arrived, but wife sent me pict of the outer carton and it appears it was dragged under the ups truck, used as a football, then as a bar stool, then as a step ladder, before arriving my house. :wtf:

i will need to check the contents to see if i need to return it for an exchange... :ugh2:

Way back in the day, I used to work holidays at USPS..and you wouldn't believe how rough priority packages were treated. The boxes were literally thrown into large bins from the conveyor belt, so they could be jammed onto another truck.. :shakes head:

I think with the pedal box, you'll trade initial pedal delay for maximum pedal earlier in the pedal stroke. For example, maximum output when the pedal is depressed 50%. I would have to do more reading/research to verify that.

Is that a scenario you would be satisfied with?

:hello: jason, how's the weather your way? snow melting today? I think a lot of ours will be gone this week, we are supposed to be getting warm days for the next few

I always get anxious in march and april as the weather gets nicer for the most part! Hopefully we don't see any more snow, but I doubt that will happen..........

Was warmer today. The snow is melting, but not fast enough. I had the Z on the road March 18th last year, I don't think I'll be as lucky this year. :ugh2:

yah, i will find out if there's any external damage later on. :shakes head: i will also be testing the unit while i install it into my Z so im not too worried. worst case i will just do an exchange and drive my G that weekend. :icon17:

yah, when i received my big roll of dinoc in a usps shipping tube, it looked like the mail folks went to town playing darth vader vs luke with it. :shakes head:

it was a 4ft x 4ft sheet with about 50% wrinkled. i noted the vendor asking if they could at least give me like a 2ftx 4ft section, but they immediately sent me a full replacement.

thanks, mr.gale. i have a feeling this is not going to help in the latency issue we have with the throttle. why i say this is becuase with my music gear, latency is a problem when playing heavy software instruments like piano's off my MBP.

say for instance a particular sample buffer setting has a latency of 8ms. changing the velocity parameter (example: soft keystroke to trigger larger sound output) does NOT help compensate the latency problem while playing. the sound still plays late.. just louder.

Mr.kenchan... I hope the HU inside is ok.. it's sucks the way how the courier company treats the package but I was "wow" by the quick delivery, I thought you just ordered it yesterday, right?

Usually the retailer will fill the whole big box with tons of foam and bubble wraps and stuffs like that, I am pretty sure the HU is in good shape...

 to warm weather! I doubt the Z will be out then either. Well i guess you could drive it but it's better to wait IMO.

Mr. Ken-San - Are you trying to get rid of that god-awful lurch in 1st that we experience off the line? I heard that an Uprev tune will take care of that.

Thoughts? Comments?

I went to the pedalbox website again and read more about the product... saw one of the chart they post and I have an idea on how does it work but I am not sure is it necessary for a street car.

( Click to show/hide )

Basically it's a module that allow the driver to adjust what's called... the "Throttle-Curve"

It alters the values between the actual-throttle-position and the ECU-throttle-position.

Therefore, when the gas pedal is 50% depress and ECU might thought it's at 60% or 70%.

By reading its diagram, the adjustment is most effective through the mid-range.

I am not sure how much it can improve/correct the problem that Mr.kenchan is experience since he is complaining the initial throttle-response.

Which...the pedalbox has the minimum effect on that position.

My opinion, this module is more suitable for track use since the driver can:

1) Adjust the throttle-response according to different track lay-out.

2) weather condition (dry/high traction surface more responsive vs wet/low traction less responsive)

On top of that, I am wondering the adjustment will lose its "effectiveness", not from the device itself, but the driver itself will get used to responsiveness of the throttle.

alcheng's conclusion: Save the $499.
