 i liked online bill pay....lol! I would get carried away though especially if i had a car payment and a few extra bucks....got my civic paid off pretty quickly that way! I love being in as little debt as possible! :happydance:

Auto bill pay is the only reason I have a car, house, electricity, phone, etc... I always forget what day something is due on, so I just set it up to be taken out of my account automatically and I just check the amount each month to make sure they're not ripping me off. The only thing I have to remember to pay each month is my credit card, which is what we use to pay all of our bills. So far I've had no problems, and I love racking up the points on my card :)

none of my bill payments are on auto, even HOA payments which is fixed every month. i just schedule it early on and let it release on a particular date if im going to be out of town that week.

and as ms.bc said, i too hate banks pulling money automatically from my bank accounts, so i dont sign up for that either. i trigger it, not them. :)

i think online bills are fine just as long as one keeps a bill folder individually in gmail or outlook or waterver, as if filing docs into a folder in a physical filing cabinet. :D

I have my auto loan and a platinum credit card on auto pay. I always just pay off the credit card each month instead of just letting it pull the minimum $10.

Also, we put nearly EVERYTHING else on our Discover card so we can get the 2% cash back. The only thing we don't put on the Discover is our purchases at Target, which we put on our Target card and receive 5% off all purchases. At the end of the month, we completely pay off both of these cards.

Interesting. That could come in handy.

BajaZ 03-01-2013 09:30 PM

also, I don't know who do you bank with, but, for instance, Navy fed has a bill payment option where they send the payment on the day you set up to anything you want to for the amount you want to and you can always see and follow every transaction on your account. I use this because sometime either I forget to pay something, or I just cant because of my job.
