Sorry I didn't catch up on the last few pages - I will tomorrow. Went out with the wife, but she was done drinking after just a couple of drinks and we threw darts for several hours after a nice dinner. She proceeds to drive us home in the Z and then when she turns the car off, the custom Z button I made pops out of the dash :icon14: I then realize that I had the button rotated 90 degrees from the proper orientation (not a simple fix, but definitely an easy one). We get into a heated argument about how she doesn't think the car needs any mods and I'm mod crazy right now (minimally so if I might be honest; I told her it could be a lot worse - just look at some of the people on this forum :icon17:). But the fact is, I got an extra start button so I could work these kinds of mistakes out... I just sanded the damn start button and will probably repaint it tonight in the garage. Yes, I admit it, I backed the car out of the garage and into the driveway while I wasn't very sober - in fact, I had a beer in hand because I was so irritated... Now back to work... :ughdance:

To make matters worse, I reinstalled windows last night, so I am having to reinstall all my software. The Z start button logo was done in photoshop, so I am having to reinstall that right now :ugh2: Then maybe I can get a logo printed and painted tonight :ugh2:

You know what... I'm sick of sexy time being the ultimate reward - don't get me wrong, I love it just as much or more so than the next guy/gal. But, to be honest, I've had many great meals leave me as comatose as a good romp in bed

I think I may just be saying this out of spite for my wife right now tho :icon17:

If I had water but hadn't eaten substantially for a month, I would still rather spend a night with her in bed than eat substantially for the next month :nutswinger:

I'm not tired... and the computer is bare bones right now... working on fixing the start button lol

JARblue 02-02-2013 02:28 AM

why won't the fvcking apple mobile device driver work for more than 5 minutes without having to install itunes :frustrated:

JARblue 02-02-2013 03:08 AM

Ok, so I made right with my better half - I'm a dumba$$ sometimes, especially when I get a few cocktails in me, and I know just how to push her buttons. I certainly didn't want her to go to bed mad for something this stupid :icon17:

Got Photoshop installed, printer driver installed, printed out a revised Z logo (slightly smaller - better fit imo) for the start button. Since I wanted just the Z to glow and Tracie, wanted just the Z in black, I was able to kill two birds with one stone

Hers has three coats of Krylon Fusion gloss (I have satin, too, if you prefer, Tracie - just let me know). Mine has two coats of adhesion promoter and three coats of KAD. I will have to clear coat them as well, though it will probably be tomorrow sometime since the garage is now toxic :icon17: I also plan to pick up some buffing compound (Meguiar's Ultimate Compound seems to be a good choice here), which I did not have for my original attempt. I am hoping this will give it a cleaner finish

Yeah... definitely going to do the clear tomorrow... just going downstairs I could smell the paint. And going into the garage to snap these two pics (very quickly) made me surprisingly light-headed. I think that's part of the reason the pics look a little screwy - they look much better in person.

Unfortunately, the Z is going to have to sit outside in the driveway for the night. I'm not too worried about someone stealing her without the start button :icon17:
