yah, i think the current taurus looks pretty good for a sedan. they need to drop that name though. "taurus" just reminds me of their previous fails.. such a midwest/middleaged loser vibe associated to that name.

:hello: Mr.kenchan.. long time no see... :hello:

Typical Monday, the flu is 98% gone, the leftover 2% is giving me some stuffy nose but it's not a big deal.

Thinking about some GT5 and F1 tonight...

See, always plan ahead... :icon18::icon18:

hi mr.alcheng! hop you rid the 2% of the flu today. :) sounds good with the GT5/F1 :driving:

been playing that CSR drag racing game on my droid. i can't beat this one car by 0.05sec to get my 500 rep points. :eekdance: i just need another 35hp and lose some weight... but both require 500 rep points. i have the virtual money but not enough rep points. :ugh2:

going to work on my music room walls tonight. in need to reposition the wall reflector damping foam thingies alittle bit since i moved my monitors.

The good thing is the City look after the shoveling and cleanup very quickly this season, the HWY and main roads are pretty much all cleared up in the morning.

First time I say they spent the tax-payers money in some good ways.... :icon17:

kenchan 01-28-2013 11:41 AM

sounds good, mr.alcheng. every time i use to fly out to toronto area in the winter for biz, it seemed like the city only had one snow truck to do the entire ontario area. :icon17:

Mr.kenchan, :icon18: on the Taurus and :iagree: they need to update the name... "Taurus"..... doesn't really get along with the style like "Fusion" or "Focus"...

 on the music room... have some fun with it!!!

To be honest Mr.kenchan, I've been living in Toronto for 20 years, and I believe you are correct on your impression.....

The rest of them prolly hibernating in Tim Hortons... or..... another Tim Hortons... :bowrofl:

:icon17: hahaha. yah, but atleast most of the folks there are prepared for the winter running snow tires.

unlike in my area where pos losers drive around pos cars with pos worn out a/s tires causing accidents and more headache on top of taffyapple tax.

:bowrofl: not quite on that one except if you are living in Quebec where they have a law to mandate the vehicle to equip with snow tires during Winter...

Interestingly, a lot of the times I've SUV got involved in an accident... :icon17:

Oh I forgot to mention that I got pulled over in the Acura around midnight last night on our way home from San Antonio. Stupid cruise control was pushing probably close to 80 cresting a hill after the struggling climb and then waits forever to start slowing the car to the 75 where it was set :shakes head: But I swear my response to getting pulled over contributed to my incredibly hassle-free stop.

( Click to show/hide )
There was no one around me, so I knew as soon as he turned on his headlights that he was pulling me over. I was in the middle lane, so I waited until I passed him to move over to the right lane, using my blinker. I then proceeded to brake and pull over into the shoulder with my right blinker on the entire time. I stopped with the passenger side wheels just off the highway to give him plenty of room to approach my driver door - I had pretty much come to a complete stop on the shoulder before he even got up to speed. As soon as I was stopped, I turned off my right blinker and turned on my emergency hazard lights. I had my window rolled down and both hands on the steering wheel when he got out of his car to approach mine.

I'm pretty sure this sequence eased his mind a little - I expect he was looking for drunk drivers more than speeders (I was absolutely sober). Anyway, he asked for license and insurance and pretty much immediately said he was giving me a warning. He asks where we were coming from and I said a party in SA. He goes back to his car and then comes back with the form for me to sign. As I'm signing he asks what party we were at, and I respond a private party with some friends. We conclude the process and he says drive safe. I immediately turned to my wife and said there's no way he missed my right wrist, which still had two bands on it from the party - one for 21+ and one for VIP :icon17: I can't help but think he might have given me more hassle about if I hadn't reacted to getting pulled over in the textbook manner that I did

Wait... leaving chains on your tires year round increase road maintenance costs

hey JARBlue, remember they are Mr. & Mrs. :postwhore: ???

So it doesn't really matter the title goes to who... the "trophy" is gonna be in the same room anyway.... :bowrofl::bowrofl:

Very straightforward - incredibly minimal surface repairs to the rear bumper and one taillight. But I do not hope to get the Accord back quickly since we traded it for the Acura :bowrofl:

:icon18: ahhhh yes! I forgot :rofl2:

 mr. alcheng, i think in my area they should be checking tires vs meaningless smog checks.
