which konig are you looking at getting, ms. pint?

The Deception with blue accent since the Illusion isn't made in the size I need. Husband might be losing his job due to company shutting down so I can't afford to do Weds for a long *** time now.

hummm...in such financial crunch, i would just keep your stockers for the time being and enjoy the car without any mods. imho, wheels and accessories for a car should be purchased cash with no creditcard debit. why? expect to bend wheels, tires getting flats. i usually keep budget for one extra wheel/tire set for such emergencies.

the Deceptions appear to come in 18x8 (ET20 and ET40) and 18x9 (ET35) looking at discounttire.com are those the only sizes available?

those offsets aren't going to look right unless you're willing to work with spacers and lowering. ET20 will have poke, ET35 for rear at 9" width will look too conservative.

honestly though, get spacers for your stock wheels and lower it if you want to get the most out of appearance with minimal funds. otherwise, just leave it stock and save up.

yah, waiting does suck. i usually plan quite a bit ahead before taking the plunge... so it may appear like im buying stuff here and there, but it's all planned minimum 6months to a year prior for stuff that cost more than $500.

What kenchan said.
I'm very pleased with my car's appearance on the stock rims with spacers and springs. It's definitely noticeable as a more aggressive stance than stock, but without being a StanceNation poster boy.

I'm also of the same mindset when it comes to spending on mods.
I can't swing or justify the cash for the wheels I really want (SSR Professor MS1), so I'm just not going to do it. I mean, hey... the OEM Sport Package rims are a pretty good looking RAYS wheel already. Anything less would be a downgrade.

Problem is that I have base rims.

You could probably pick up a nice set of pre-owned Sport Package or Nismo rims with tyres and TPMS for what you'd pay for average quality aftermarket wheels.
Something to chew on. :tiphat:

I can't save up, it would take 2 1/2 years to get the ones I want and I'm not waiting that long.

According to Mr.kenchan's info, the Deceptions are 18x8 and 18x9, it's even narrower than the OEM.

With those offset, you will have to put in spacers on all four corners, that's another $200, you don't want to mess up your Z with the cheapy one... :ugh2:

Pint honey~~~ :p

I strongly suggest you hold off the idea for now....

It seems you can spend a little to fulfill your wish, but it might end up a bigger nightmare....

hummm... if the rear Deceptions only come ET35, you're going to need spacers. otherwise they will look super tucked in.

btw, i think mr. gurney is running 15mm and 10mm spacers on his nismo wheels?

Oh. That's why my ears were burning. :roflpuke2:

Base 18s aren't bad looking. I'd have gotten spacers if I kept them on, but certainly not terrible.
